Hello, just bought yesterday a second hand 902SH. I'm not sure what firmware version i have ....

This is the output of the code *01763*8371#:

I have only one theme which is the red one from Vodafone...as i understood that's the EURO version....but then again...the EURO version should be able to play mp3s as ringtones....

Can you give me a tip please...i;ve been browsing all day this forum and i'm still in darkness....

I think it would be EURO as you said or may be Ferarry. If I remember correctly, all of 902 FWs doesn't support normal MP3 ringtone directly.

The euro 902 does support mp3 ringtones. I believe that the mp3s must meet the following specifications (this is just off the top of my head) before you can set them as ringtones:

1. Bitrate under 128
2. Under 30 seconds
3. Saved to PHONE memory when being set (cannot be set when it is still on the memory card).

The 902 cant have mp3 ringtones no matter what fw

it 1st needs DRM mp3 if not use mmf. but MA-3 mmf ringtones it'll work the best and it'll sound close enough to mp3.

hmmm i could have sworn i had mp3 ringtones on my euro 902...cant test it now since it's totalled tho...lol

No MP3 ringtones came along with the 903 I think. I can't remember though...

I think everyone has forgotten about the 902sh.

isn't the hk version Red and Euro version Black.

hi guys, while waiting for some good news about 904sh, im tinkering with a used 902sh which my friend *gave* me after he upgraded to 705sh. can anyone help me with changing the firmware from japanese to euro? is there a program i could use to re-flash it? and where can i download the euro firmware? thanks!

I was just re-reading this thread and was thinking about MP3 ringtones again. Today I reflashed my 902SH to the euro firmware but I'm still unable to assign the mp3 ringtones. It says "cannot assign due to illegal file". Does the Euro have to use the swapping name trick too or can it just set Mp3 ringtones right away with some specifications?
