which would u buy and why?

i like the size/weight of C417 but how are its features compared to the Z525? At cingular is actuallying selling the Samsung as more expensive so I dont konw which is better phone.

I would choose the z525. I have no experience with the samsung c417, but I can tell you that the z525 has excellent RF. Plus it's cheaper!

I'll take a Sony Ericsson over a Samsung anyday. Much better battery life, sound quality, reception, etc.

SE for the kill. Great UI, earpiece volume, reception, did I mention the UI.

I'm probably about to buy the C417...I've been happy with my X427 other than some spotty reception now and then. I don't get why everyone complains about the UI, I've always liked it...not quite as easy to use as the Motorola StarTAC it replaced but not difficult at all.

One BIG problem though - the speaker on the 525 sucks. For PTT, it is very difficult to hear without holding right up to your ear.
