Hi,

I have a KAZR K1 very nice phone very similar to the PEBL and V series.

K1 firmware R4527_G_08.12.10R_B

Motorola Mobile Phone Tools is 4.3.2h

I am only able to sync the contacts.

There is no Calendar option?????

I have removed the MPT and reinstalled still same problem. Has someone ever had that happen?

With the same MPT I hooked up an A1200 and it works with no problem. It is probably the firmware that is locked out with the calendar sync. Any advice?

Sorry, I dont know much about the KAZR.. how similar is it to the KRZR?

It's not called KAZR. It's the KRZR K1.

where did you get that version of phone tools? the best i can do is 4.04b and that dont work for crap

Folks,

So that no one gets all bend out of shape with my TYPO it is the MOTOKRZR K1.

After testing the problem is with MPT which is not totally functioning with this new phone. In other words you will not be able to sync your calendar until the updated version does come up.

I have seem edited the phone and customized it.

Hi,
Wondering if anyone else have problems syncing the krzr with MPT.
I'm getting mine delivered today. Not even sure if the CD will come with it. sigh.
But not being able to sync contacts and calendar would be a huge let down.

What the hell is P3K?
can you tell where to download it, if any?

Did Y'all try to disable Firewalls and update the winxpsp2, with USB 2.0?
use different ports if you have>1 phone, like PPC.

wondering if that will help.

I'm not sure if this will help with your situation, but try uninstalling MPT and then re-installing it. Do not plug in the phone and the data cable until the MPT software asks you to. That helped when I had trouble connecting my V3 and later my V3i.

Unfortunately, K1 shipped with calendar sync disabled in MPT -- there were just too many bugs at launch time to leave it enabled. (Note the 'h' suffix on the MPT version -- guess it took eight tries just to get that far..)

When I last tested it, which was around late May or so, almost nothing worked. Calendar sync would make a colossal mess of both Outlook and the phone.

It's too bad, because the K1 introduced the brand new PIM-like calendar that supports all kinds of recurrence patterns, end dates, location field, notes field, event types, and so on.

hang on. So the K1 does not have this type of calnder any more? One of the things I miss from Nokia on my V3 is the fact that I cant really enter birthdays because I cant have them re-occuring which is really annoying. Can I do this on the KRZR?

Also does any1 who has seen this phone know if it has a count-down timer app? Thanks.

The phone's calendar has the upgrades as I described, but you can't sync it with MPT.

You can easily do a yearly recurring event on a V3 or probably any Motorola phone, so I don't know what you're referring to.

Just got my k1 tonight. For what it's worth, everyone's right. I can't sync calendars through MPT either.

Here's what would be needed:

1) An update to the phone software, probably through MSU.

2) An update to MPT through LiveUpdate.

I have no idea if or when that might happen, though.

Hi guys,

Anyone aware of a new firmware for this KRZR K1 ? I just bought it and the clock always gets messed up. It changes time like my wifes mood. Also, When I plug the power cord to charge, I miss all my calls. The ringtones don't work. The phone is completely silent. I tried everything.

Please let me know if I can use P2k or anything to help with these issues.

there is a firmware fix, but i dunno where to get it i have my dealer do it. as to the ring tones, all motos that i have used are a little weird when it comes to bluetooth and ringtones, what seems to happen is that whenever you have your bluetooth ear piece connected to the phone, it stops playing the ringtone. (it maybe just the mp3 ones though, i can't remember, i have since sold the phone, kept it for a week)
