Is there any reason to believe that SMS for AT&TWS customers work less reliably than those on Cingular rate plans?

They know I'm using an unlocked phone so I really don't know how sincere they are in trying to resolve my issue but the phone I'm using just will not pick up messages that are sent to it..

I'm sending messages to myself from a variety of source including #@mmode.com email address but it just never reaches my phone on time.

I recently received a replacement sim card (white one from texas) but if you ask me it's made my problem worse.

I would think blue sms' would, if anything, be faster. Prior to the acquisition, AWS was consistenly rated as the most reliable for text mssgs. Given that many former blue customers converted to orange, seems that there would be less people using the smsc's so more resources would be available. I know many blue customers and they get their txt's almost as quickly as IMs on a computer.
