Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/120)

I'm posting from my other 8700 as I do not have internet access.

I am trying to get th 8700 to factory reset. Don't a wipe system does not clear the addt'l software installed. I did the wipe software again then it froze. I pulled the battery and is frozen upon bootup.

I am trying to reinatall the system software for the device but I get this error: unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.

Any help please!

If javaloader.exe didn't work you can try JL_Cmder. It's been posted and BlackBerry Forums

What is javaloader.exe? I tried JL_Cmder and wiped my blackberry. Now it's displaying an icon that looks like a window with a circle, square, and triangle in it crossed out, with the number 507 underneath. I did a backup today so I just need to get it loaded. How can I do this?

Yeah...Put the battery back in your device after it initially connects and begins doing the wipe before it tries to kick your device back on.

I've had this happen before - the trick is as follows:
- I always use javaloader
- wipe the device
- install the handheld code on your PC.
- start Desktop Manager
- go into Application Loader
- select your connection type (should be a USB option shown)
- start the install

Same when i put the battery in it, until it begin to try booting: it dont say it cant connect, but he wait forever (wait the unit to boot I guess, but as it never finish booting...)

If you've wiped your BlackBerry w/ JL_Cmder then you need to reload the OS. Download the latest OS and install it onto your computer if you haven't done so already then open up your desktop manager and connect your BlackBerry and proceed to reload the OS. Once the OS has reloaded you can do a restore and restore your email, appointments, settings, etc...

I'm getting the error message "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation." when I try to reload the OS after a wipe. I've tried it with and without the battery in. Any other ideas?

This is on an 8300
