V360 wont format 2GB miniSD

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I bought a 2GB mini SD, the T-MOBILE salesman said it would work. Well it wont format.

I bought a miniSD card reader and was able to format it that way using FAT.

I put card back in v360 and phone says it is unformatted still.

Windows Media 10 and XP are able to read it and sync up however my v360 sucks.

What do I need to do to get it to work, I bought this POS to play MP3's, I even splurged on some stereo headphones but now I'm out $150.

???

Can't help you but I can't get it to Format a 1gig. But I will use it with my new V3i, that I will be receiving soon...

If you read your manual that came with the phone, it only supports upto 512 so perhaps this is why.

Not true, there are others who have used the 1 gig, I did the search and read the thread on it. I just think my card is defective and I will have to exchange it out...

I have been told by 3 TMobile reps that say 2GB works. Maybe they are all dumb???

From what I understand, there is an implementation flaw with all cell phones (Minus one, which I can’t recall right now…Verizon handset I believe), whereas they can handle 1GB, but not 2GB. Thus far, it appears if you use a 2GB card it will only register as 1GB. Most say it “could” be fixed with a firmware upgrade, but don’t hold your breathe.

I can't use my 2GB card, period! The firmware that my cell had on it was the latest firmware. I since flashed MP love it.

Does indeed sound like a bad card, then. As a last stitch effort, try reading it in your computer...if you have the reader.
