8125 ROM update - touchscreen doesn't work, how do I bypass tapping for set up?

I have an 8125 with a cracked touchscreen. I updated the ROM but forgot that I did not realize that I would need to "tap" the touchscreen in order to set up the 8125 with the updated ROM. Given the touchscreen is broken, I can't.

Is there a way to get around this?

Yes, I am going to get this repaired, but I'd like to use this the next couple of days before sending it in. Thanks.

I never did find out how to get the 8125 to work after doing a ROM update. The basic cell phone functionality was there, but you had to remember how to dial without any screen feedback and use the keypad.

I shortly thereafter sent my 8125 to pocketpctechs.com. I think it was only gone 5 days. The cost was around $170 to repair the screen -- bad idea not to get insuarnce on these. It's been about two months that I've had it back and no problems at all. If you have a broken screen and non insurance, I'd recommend pocketpctechs.com
