Q re WAP surfing on s55...

Couple concerns before I take the plunge here...Does the s55 allow you to scroll page by page with one of the side buttons? The biggest pet peeve I have with my T720 is that you must scroll line by line, and as the refresh rate is extremely slow, this very annoying.

Secondly, how many lines of text can be displayed (text of an actual web page?

Third, I have heard that the browser is actually 2.0 compliant. Is this correct? Not sure what this exactly amounts to, but would this seriously limit content exposure? Besides amount of content, are there applets that cannot be accessed or something with earlier versions?

It is 2.0 compliant... as for gprs surfing I haven't used it yet becuase I am over my data limit this month but mid month I start a new cycle and I tried to do it the other day for the first time but couldn't get on... I called my providers data service line and they assured me that all is well now so I will try again after work today... (why I am posting while at work... well blame it on Howard...kidding lol) but someone please answer this for rrypma in the meantime if they have done any surfing.... I'll post my experience with it later this evening.

To answer the scrolling question, yes, in WAP pages, menus and lists the +/- volume control on the left will page up and down.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I didn't even realize this until you asked and I checked it out!

This phone has so many features...

I'm not the biggest user of mobile web surfing... but last month I got crazy carried away when I was on it using my S100. Can't wait to try it on the s55 now!

Finally did some surfing on the s55 not too long ago... very impressed. Glad the side keys worked... I also used the silver jog dial so to speak above the keyboard. AH geez I didn't think I could like a mobile fone this much! Well next up... SX1... come to daddy lol
