Can I get a phone in China that will work here? (Canada, rogers)

Does it have to be a quad band or w/e? As long as it is SIm card compatible im good, right?

Has to be compatible with GSM 1.9Ghz & 850Mhz to work with Rogers Wireless in Canada.
(Will work with 1.9Ghz, but you will have better coverage & reception if you also have 850Mhz.)

So a Quadband GSM phone would be the best.
850Mhz, 900Mhz, 1.8Ghz, & 1.9Ghz

Generally, domestic models (brand names like Telsda, Lenovo, and CECT with a couple of exceptions somewhere) don't have 1900 or 850, so avoid those, no matter how good they look to you. International brands (like Motorola, NEC, and Panasonic) are mostly tri-band. Also, China may be your only place where you can pick up an unlocked NEC phone, so if you want one, this is the place to get one.
