I saw the thread where someone had posted something about using the APN set to something like wap.voicestream.com - so I was wondering if anyone's been able to tether their 8100 on their Cingular service? if so, what settings did you use?

wap.voicestream.com is for Tmobile.

Not sure off the top of my head what cingulars is.

However, I believe with cingular you are going to need a tethering plan which is going to be about another $45 or so a month.

My buddy put his cingular sim into a brand new unlocked pearl i gave him and it worked flawlessly without changing anything other than sync and setting up his BES

yeah, I already have the tethering plan on my account so that wont be a problem.
