Another noob ? -- Selected ringer on RAZR V3 doesn't stay "selected."

I just got a RAZR V3 through Cingular Wireless.

I had a Seinfeld MIDI ringer on my computer that I transferred to my phone, and selected that ringer as my main ringer.

However, after about 4-5 calls with that ringer successfully working, the phone switches to the "Continental" ringer. Also, when it does so, the bottom 10 or so ringers no longer work. Instead, they just make a single "beep" and then stop. In order to fix it, I have to power down the phone and turn it back on. When I do so, the Seinfeld ringer works again for another 4-5 calls, and the same problem repeats itself.

I have also noticed that when I connect the phone to my bluetooth headset, that the same problem occurs. As before, I have to power down the phone and turn it back on to temporarily remedy the situation.

What is going on here?

Has anybody else experienced this and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

I think I've narrowed down the problem. Although it appeared to be linked to the number of times the phone rang, that appears to only have been a coincidence. Instead, I think the problem is linked solely to my bluetooth headset. When the bluetooth headset is connected, I get the default ringer. When I drop the bluetooth connection, I get my Seinfeld ringer back. So, I figured that perhaps I have to set the ringtone for when the bluetooth headset is attached. However, I can't seem to find a setting for that.

Any thoughts?

unfortunately, you don't have a problem. all motos play the default ringtone when connected to a bluetooth headset.

Thanks for the response. That is unfortunate. As "cheesy" at it might be, I really enjoy having the Seinfeld theme play when my phone rings, and most of the time I'm wearing the bluetooth. So, I guess I'll have to get used to not having a Seinfeld ringer.

not to be a jerk or something but this HAS to be like thread 1,000 about moto's bluetooth issues. READ people...

I believe it also says something in the Owners Manual about this too! no body likes to read manuals anymore? is it that easier to go on hofo than read the manuals?

In my defense, as I said above, I didn't realize this was a "bluetooth issue" until much later. So, why would I (a) do a forum search for "bluetooth" or (b) read the manual about "bluetooth" to try to solve the problem?

I'm sorry for posting a question that has been asked before, but unless I know what words to search for, I can't really perform a search.
