8125 wifi connected? What about Cingular proxy?

Just got an 8125 which connected to my home wifi network. I read somewhere that there is a setting for it not to connect to the proxy (Cingular) server? If I'm connected by wifi do I ever have to worry about the device dropping that connection and going to Cingular?
