Came across a good deal on Ebay, and couldn't pass it up.

I work for TM, and have an S105 now, and have been fairly happy with it, other than the fact there's no speakerphone/bluetooth.

The other main gripe about this phone, is the earpiece volume while on a call, STINKS. I can barely hear anything if there's any outside noise around me.

So, few ?'s from you guys who have the phone, or have both.

1. How IS the earpiece volume while on a call?

2. How is the speakerphone volume, and is it clear/understandable while listening to it?

3. Which headset have you found to work the best w/ BT on the S55?

You mentioned you were using a S105. I was using a S100 pretty much same fone... so trust me when I say you will thoroughly enjoy this fone!! Anyhow for your questions...

1) Earpiece volume is great... sounds like landline when I am on fone others say the same sounds like I am on landline... clear and loud.

2) Speaker fone volume is great!! Mucher better than GD87's.
I use it at my desk and in the car at times... you can hear quite clear and the volume does well.

3) I use a SE HBH 30 BT Headset works great! I have tried the Jabra Freespeak aswell. I prefer the HBH 30 personally I find it more comfortable to wear and easier to put on in a hurry.

People were all hopped up when they saw my s100 but now... they just get ridiculous silly when they see the s55!! You're totally gonna love showin' off the new toy!

I walked into a Rogers AT&T store here a couple days back with my fone with a friend of mine and the guy there tried to knock the s55 sayin the T68I was better and weighed less and said it had 40 Polytones... I laffed at him and said are you out of your F***** mind?!?!! U tell customers it has 40 polytones u shouldn't have the job... he then pulls out a Nokia 7210 he bought in Toronto and said this fone is more superior the s55 it is slicker and has more features and a cam, BT and a video camera.... ha ha ha what a fool I told him your dad must own this store coz who would hire an idiot like you. I wowed a few people in the store with the s55 and they opted to get one online and looking into the s55 instead of purchasing the Motorola they were lookin at there. You'll be the talk of your store soon. I think the s55 kills the V205 aswell you guys sell those don't you?

Yeah, we have the V205. It's an overpriced joke.

Don't know why ANYONE would buy that phone, considering what it doesn't have (anything).

I can't wait for this thing to get to me...

I also think i'm def. going to like it.

don't bash v205.... its a great phone, stupid t-mo restricted many sw features like midlets and foto transfer.... so thats all their fault, but the phone is great itself. when a full featured v200 rolls out, you will understand.

Still, as the overall package and for use S55 is the best, thats why i have mine..... everything works perfect.... great phone...

But i think i might opt for m55 once it comes out.... that phone is the same as s55, but in a durable package...
does anyone have any info? pics? release dates....
i will keep using my s55 for now, and then get the m55 if i like the design... but from the old series (in russia, they are dualband() i liked m45 wayyyy more than s45.... so... thanx.

But, it seems that the M55 is a variation of the C55, not the S55. So, might you be referring to color, ruggedized version of the S55 called something else? A search didn't catch anything unless you know something. Personally, I find the s55 very refined and professional looking.

I agree with rrypma... the s55 is very refined and professional looking not bubble gum like or to funky of a design...very classy. I feel it works for me in the work enviroment. I remember not too long ago when I went from a S100 to a Pansonic GD87... at work or in meetings people would like at the GD87 like a toy totally but the s55 has alot of class and clients I meet all adore it and want a fone that is feature loaded but not toy looking.
