BlackBerry 8700c Toxic Odor Problem?

I had an irate customer call in to the store complaining that her 8700c had a strong chemical odor. I looked up the account and saw several calls to customer care regarding the issue. She said that she felt faint and her face would swell up after using it for a while. She asked if I ever came across a BlackBerry with an odor problem and I honestly replied, "no". She said my nose must not be as sensitive as hers. I suggested that she should come in to exchange it if that would help. When she got to the store to exchange the device (which had no odor whatsoever), I brought out a replacement. She said she wanted to smell all the devices in inventory to confirm that they all have the same scent. When I told her there was no way I could open sealed inventory to smell them, she yelled and demanded to see the manager. He ended up bring her about 5 devices to compare scents. She finally picked one that satisfied her and I hope she doesn't return tomorrow...

Yeah I've met those types, they complain about odors, or that the phone gets really hot.
