Problems with Exchange Activesync

I just purchased a couple of Treo 650s for my company. We are trying to get them to synchronize with our email using the Exchange Activesync feature.
After hours of configuration I have finally managed to get my server set correctly, but now I get this error message "Success! Server accessed, but incorrect version."
I have spoken to tech support at Palm, Cingular, and Microsoft and none of them have been able to help me. I have downloaded Service Pack 2 for my Exchange Server, but it still didn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions for this problem?

Off the top of my head, disable the security for that one user and its mobile settings, then reenable things one thing at a time if that does get it to work. I know that AS is funky when it comes to security certificates.
