Has anyone been able to tether by bluetooth or USB cable with the 3125 ? If so, can you please post the steps taken. I think Im missing a setting on the phone that is preventing it from working. I can tether fine with my CU500 but can't get it to work with the 3125. Thanks.

You need to activate the wireless modem setting. To get to the setup Start>Accessories>Wireless Modem then select connection type (USB or Bluetooth) then Menu>Start.

Make sure that if you are connected to your computer that you go into the Activesync connection settings and disable the USB or COM port connections so that the Activesync connection will not tie up the com port used by the 3125.

Thanks a lot !! I now have it working with the USB cable. However, it still won't work with bluetooth. It gives me the Error # 777. Do you have idea why its doing that ? Thanks.

I haven't used the bluetooth to connect to the Internet so hopefully someone else can help you.

I got it to work. The problem was I was using the WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM and password with the phone number of *99***1#. Apparently the 3125 doesn't like that. I had to leave the username and password BLANK and use a phone number of *99# I would have never gotton either to work if you didn't tell me about that wireless modem part so that I thank you a lot !!!! I would have nevr found that.

I have tethered the 5600 over bluetooth, it required that I set up the phone as a bluetooth modem and dial number #747 or something.
