Does anyone know anything about how the bootloader in the Moto Razr v3 works? can it be hacked/rewritten/replaced?

Hacking the bootloader is not particularly feasible, because the phone has a burn-in checksum to verify the bl code. My attempts to rebuild a flex with a modified checksum value have been unable to overcome this.
Scotty2 has been able to jump the boot sequence to an unrestricted area of code and succedded in that instance, but that's techically adding a second bootloader, not modding the existing one. Perhaps he would be willing to post a tutorial on jumping the code in a disassembler, but perhaps not.
