When programming a phone from Bell to another provider, do you just have to change the CDMA # and the MSID or is there anything else?

...Will any provider take a bell phone on their network? (besides sasktel)

MTS does that's why I'm wondering.

You can transfer your phone contract and phone to Sasktel if you are going from Bell or MTS and vice versa, just take it in, they give you some paperwork and they transfer everything for you.

You can activate a supported Bell phone on MTS, SaskTel and Aliant. If you're like me and you go through phones like kleenex, you're bound to come by a Bell phone. I've activated many Bell phones on MTS. You just need the master programming lock code to change the settings. Usually the seller will give it to you (on eBay anyway) or your dealer can call Bell SOS to get the code. Bell, MTS, SaskTel and Aliant (Aliant is now owned by Bell) have a wireless alliance agreement. Their phones are cross compatible on each others networks.
