Cingular 3125 External Screen Strange Image

I have had the 3125 for approximately two weeks and I am extremely happy with the phone, but today a black leaf image and some other designs showed up on the external (like a test pattern). I have gone thru settings and and tried to get he screen corrected no luck. I have done hard reset by two different methods and no luck. I would gladly entertain any suggestion or Monday I will contact customer service and get a new phone, since I am under the thirty day replacement time. Thanks in advance.
