Come on... give the guy a break. He's just a white boy trying to fit in with the thugged out gees on HoFo.

Big: you might want to check out a site called Google; they may have some links on how to hack your PPC. For new apps, check out pocketpcfreeware dot com. Lastly, you might consider reading your manual if you don't know how to install new apps.

i have friends who bought the phone to copy me, and they dont even know you can hook it up to a computer LOL... the only thing they use the phone for is there un tweaked ****** IE, texting and as a phone... those crappy LG keyboard phones can do that stuff with opera mini, why do stupid white boys exist??

Here are a couple of links for you, homey: (i'm not sure if I spelled 'homey' correctly but I'm sure you didn't)

Pocket PC Forum You can post questions about the 8125 here, but if your question is not carrier-specific, your issue will have better exposure if you post in in the PPC Forum.
XDA Developers They have all the information you can possible need, and then some more, about hacking. Look for their HTC Wizard area. Wizard is the generic name for the 8125.

If you don't have anything useful to contribute to this thread then do not post.

Any more taunting or flaming will result in bans for all involved.

Any more useful information.
Thanks Hommies

I want to know what is a hoomie and what is a hommie and are they different.

Posted by: KlamshellKing

Background can easily be changed through the settings then click on "Today" ringtones are changed by going to settings and then click "Phone". I would reccommend getting tweaks 2k2... its a good versatile program thatll allow you to do alot. Also get SPB pocket plus. These two should be all you need. TCPMP is good for mp3s if you want. And i would recommend overclocking it once you get used to how to use the phone after a week and become more experienced. You can PM me if you want more help. I realized i was once in your situation and i didnt have any help and it took much longer to learn

Damn, I am at my parents house for the holidays, but tomorrow I can post a bunch of links for free applications that are great (i.e. games, task managers, internet, etc)

I also have some sites for great wallpapers. You can also goto microsoft's page for a few free things that you might like. If you feel comfortable, get a reg edit tool and follow instructions on certain pages on this site.

Changing the themes will change the look of the icons. I forget the site, but you can download free themes. It's Blackberry something. I know you can access it directly from the device, but it's been a while since I've played around with a BB, so I don't recall the exact web address. This site is also a great source for BB info.

I must have been drunk or high when I read this thread (days ago). I could have sworn it said 8700 (as in Blackberry). I now realize that it says 8125. I definitely gave the wrong advice. Sorry about that.

Check out my review of the 8125 at www.mobile-penguin.com. There are tons of good software recommendations and hacks for it there.

mp3 to ringtone gold is what i use to shrink full mp3s to 20 sec ringtones or whatever length you would like.

The most important things to me were to overclock the phone and add wisbar advance, and you will need a reg edit.

The following are things and sites as well to help trick out your phone:

Enable the 4 way navigation button to allow scrolling in IE insead of having to drag the scrollbar with the styus with a simple regedit.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Navigation\4-Way Nav
Change Value from 1 to 0.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
show only contacts and not sim contact

Under HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone add a new DWORD value named "ShowSim" and set it to 0. No need to soft reset the contacts will be hidden when you next open the contacts window.

06.Change Scroll Bar (Smaller) Download Cab Here
Change the width of the vertical scroll bar and the height of the horizontal scroll bar so they take less room on the screen:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE
Change cxVScr to (say) 9 to make vertical scrollbar narrower. Default value is 13
Change cyHScr to (say) 9 to make horizontal scrollbar narrower. Default value is 13
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the step-by-step directions.

1. Download the following file and unzip. Save the OmapClock.exe to your \Windows folder on your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/download.php?id=9181

2. Open File Explorer on your device and open Omapclock.exe. Find the maximum speed that your device will handle without locking up. On each test, test all applications you use. This is important because once you place this in your startup, it will load up automatically and could cause your device to stop responding! 240Mhz works for me. Suspending the device at this point will cause the speed to be reset back to default. Execute Windows\OmapClock.exe again if this happens and you want to continue testing.

3. Download and install Resco File Explorer 2005: http://resco.net

4. Open Resco Explorer and go to the \Windows folder. Locate the OmapClock.exe file and hold the stylus on this file until menu pops. Choose “Copy”.

5. Now browse to \Windows\Startup then hold stylus in an empty area and when menu pops, choose paste shortcut.

6. Hold the stylus on the newly created OmapClock shortcut and choose Properties then click the Shortcut tab.

7. Target should be: “\Windows\OmapClock.exe” –clock 240
Change the 240 to the clock speed you tested in step 2 above.

8. Soft reset and test. Suspending the device will reset the device back to the default speed. This is a secondary test to make sure the device does not lock up!

9. Download and install DinarSoft MemMaid: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProd...23995&R=123995

10. Open MemMaid and choose the Notification queue button/tab on the bottom (second from left) then click the ADD button.

11. For Program, click the browse button and browse to the shortcut you created in steps 5-7. The location of the shortcut is \Windows\Startup.

12. From the event dropdown choose “The device woke up”.

13. Click Add.

14. Soft reset and you are done. The Clock speed will remain at the specified speed you specified in step 7 even when the device comes out of suspend.
