Kx5 firmware- get rid of Cell South

Hi. We bought an unlocked Kx5 to use with Us Cellular and when son took it to US Cell, they said it won't work because it has Cellular South firmware.
A few questions:
Is Cell South gone? I can't find it doing an internet search.
Most importantly, how can we flash US Cellular firmware onto the phone so he can use it?

Cellular South can be found at www.cellularsouth.com .......theyonly cover parts of MS, AL, Fl, and TN.
