Hello all,

I'm hoping Treo users, esp those with the setup of Treo 700p + Holux GPSlim 236 using TomTom 5 or 6 can chime in on their availability of GPS signal.

I've had TomTom 6 installed but found TomTom stating "GPS not found" 98% of the time. I went back to TomTom 5 and it gave me signal 98% of the time. BUT, after i started TomTom at a later time, it started to give me "GPS not found" again.

Anyone else having similar issues? Maybe I need an external antenna?

Where are you using your GPS unit? I have the same one and it works all the time, but it needs a clear line of sight to the satellites in the sky. It will only work from within your house if you put it on a window sil (sp), and in your car if you put it on your dashboard.

Forgot to mention that when you turn it on after it being in your house for a while, it will take a minute or two to get a fix on the satellites. Until then you will get no signal. When the red light is solid, it means it doesn't have a fix on the satellites, when it's blinking it means it does have a fix.
