So I know that it can't play mp3s for ringtones and I know that it can play midis but why would I want to use that

ive heard that i can jsut take a cd and rip a file to aac via itunes and jsut drag that file onto a transflash card and play it from there. is that true? any funky settings i need to set up itunes with for ripping? i kinda feel like buying a 1gb card but if it doesn't work that way, then ill buy a cheaper 512 card.

yes it is absolutely true... u can play aac files from the minicard.. the only diffrence you would notice is that you won't be able to see as much it3 tag information like the bit rate and the album info etc etc...
