You can use standard bluetooth software to send contacts to the Katana. I don't know if it is also possible to read contacts from the phone with Bluetooth, perhaps if you initiate the transfer from the phone you can.

For the Calendar, it looks like the next version of BitPim (0.9.08) will support reading and writing. BitPim may support contact sync in some future version, but not this upcoming one.

I'm having the same problem. My contacts are on my Palm Tungsten E & I can't figure out how to get them to my Katana. How DO you export the contacts? What are the specifics?

You need get your contacts into "vcard" format. There should be a way to do that from a Palm. I don't have a Palm myself, but I found a bunch of descriptions of how to export vcards from palm desktop by googling on "palm export as vcard".

Has anyone tried sending contacts to a Katana with DataPilot? Does it do a good job?

Trying to access my Qwest Sanyo Katana II on my laptop via USB cable, I was unable aquire it (no driver). After scouring the internet looking for a Qwest Katana driver, I called customer support. She said that the phone cannot be plugged into a computer (although several vendors-including data pilot-sell cables & software specifically advertised for this phone/service provider). I downloaded Data Pilot trial software-to no avail. Perhaps this phone feature was dissabled by Qwest (to force the use of their data transfer service?)! I hope this post will save someone the frustration that I've been dealing with. Seems like the answer is NO!

A friend of mine used the sprint broadband connect, in series w/ bitpim to access her katana. Basically you download a program from sprint that allows you to use your phone as a modem. You start it up and then start bitpim. Should work.
