Little info needed on 7130e

So I won a 7130 last year when I was still employed by Bell. I used it for a couple of weeks then switched to the 6700. I am thinking about getting the 8703 but I am going to switch back to the 7130 for a bit to see if I can adjust to the OS. I have a couple of questions for some of you crackberry users about this device.

1. I had a heck of a time putting ringers on it when I last used it, is it easier to use custom ringtones now?

2. What kind of 3rd party apps are available? I had google talk on it when I last used it, but that was all I could get working. Are there any map programs or streaming programs available?

3. This is a biggie for me...is there a 3rd party voice activation program that will work with bluetooth? I use the voice dial on my current phone more than the keypad.

4. What other things are you veterans doing with yours? Any reccomendations?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I've never had problems installing ring tones--just visit a wap site and download them over the air. There are plenty of free sites out there: Check Blackberry Forums or do a search here (particularly the RIM forum).

There are more games available now (visit the "Blackberry HELP!" bookmark in the browser for free games, ring tones and wallpaper). In addition to Google Talk, you can now download Yahoo Messenger. I also use Berry411 (amazing info plugin), and Google Maps (provides great driving directions, satellite map views, etc). Opera Mini (enhanced browser) is available as well.

ICQ, MSN and AIM instant messaging clients are coming soon.

Voice activated dialing is also coming soon in hardware OS 4.2.

do you know if the 8703 is hardware os 4.2? if not will the 7130 and the 8703 be upgradeable?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)

The 8703e comes with 4.1. And both the 7130e and 8703e are fully user-upgradeable (once 4.2 is released).
