I hope this hasn't been discussed too much before, but weren't both models supposed to have been released by Cingular this month, October? I am ready to upgrade as soon as either one comes out. What is taking so long???

Rumors are that they will be out this month, but rumors were that they would be out last month too.. I'd say we are luck if we see any of them by the end of the year

That is because there is no reliable answer....Nobody knows for sure, the dates range from 10/24 to begining of Nov to end of Nov to Dec....

for all we know, cingular could announce it on monday for a late october availability or it might not be announced until February of 2007. Waiting is the only guaranteed thing to do I guess

Agreed 100%. Even though I don't even have 3G available in my area just yet (Los Angeles), I'd like to upgrade NOW! It can't be much longer until there's 3G here anyway.

Yes I do work for cingular (view profile.) Still running tests on it. Could possibly be November (early). Lots of people get mad at Cingular for taking long, but we try to perfect and run as many tests as possible before pushing it out. Look at the issues sprint and other carriers have been having because they want to push things out too fast. We could have easily had three million UMTS/HSDPA phones out, but we choose to have functional devices from the start.

I have no clue, I don't bother asking about devices I really don't plan on getting, unless it falls from the sky, right into my lap. The 8525 will help me drop my cable company .... LoL .... But I guess I'll ask around.

Which phone will be in November? 8525 or the 750?

The 8525 is scheduled for End of Oct, but may actually be out Early Novemeber.

It's actually going to be in November now. A few 3G products at one time. The 8525 has been ready to launch. They rather push multiple 3G products around same time.

I certainly don't wish to get into that discussion. My point is more subtle (perhaps): if misinform exists, rather than stating what is clearly not obvious to others (or perhaps just me), help clear it up. We are all here to learn, help, and share. It just seems disingenuous to not partake in that "community" (of learning, helping, and sharing); otherwise, I don't know why we are here. If there's misinformation, I would like to know what it is. As to whether IHAP is correct, I don't know him well enough to make that distinction and I certainly don't want to make that distinction.

Had training today and HTC, LG, Blackberry, and Motorola were all there. I asked the HTC rep what was the exact date that the 8525 would ship and he said it will be in our stores in less than 2 weeks and he personally guaranted that info. So, I guess we will just wait and see.

I second that. I would love to upgrade to the Treo 700 ASAP! I asked a Cingular rep and she said "You'll find out before we do". Do they somehow just appear by UPS at Cingular's doorstep? I wonder how it will stack up against my trusty Treo 700p on Sprint. Is 3G faster than EVDO???

Still being told early November for a couple of 3G products. I think I was told at least 4, maybe even 5.
