need a new Sprint phone, which to get??

I currently have a VI-125 by LG, but the battery is ridiculously unreliable on it and I don't like that highest volume setting is comparable with the low setting on most other phones.

I'll be getting a new phone through Sprint soon and wonder what y'all recommend. I just need the thing to make/receive calls and text message, nothing else.

I've always liked the Fusic actually, LG makes nice CDMA phones.

I just got the 8400 and love it.. Sanyo has good reception and battery.. But if all you want is to make and receive calls and text get the Sanyo 8300.. Rose

well you could just stick to the basic phones then, sanyo 2400, samsung a420, i really have liked the samsung a640 that phone looks sweet for someone who doesn't need a multimedia phone. A little more than u asked for but that phone looks nice. There is also a promotion online right now for the a640 take a look at it.
