Perhaps this will go away when we catch up to the normal start date of DST. Thanks for the help! |

System profiler shows the phone connected to the usb port. Also, the phone is not charging on the usb. Do I need a specific type of usb cable? Any help or suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Is it only possible with blue tooth? My older mac doesn't have bluetooth, but maybe I need to get one of those usb bluetooth things. Has anyone had luck with isync and usb? thanks in advance. |

When I go to send a file the phone asks to connect via bluetooth and I click yes, then it says there's an incoming file and asks to accept it. I click yes and then it says Failed: Connection Interrupted. It does this on both my PowerMac G5 which has internal bluetooth and my C2D MacBook Pro which also has BT built in. Does anyone else have this issue? Any thoughts on how to solve it? Thanks in advance! |

I finally connected my krzr to my powerbook with a USB cable, and clicked add device in isync, and low and behold, it showed right up (with a pretty black icon even) and let me add it and sync. It even synced my calendar icons with no problem. but still, when i try to add the device when its not connected via usb, it comes up as some generic candy-bar style phone and isync will not add it. I have already paired the device in bluetooth sys prefs. When I pair it, no supported services are detected, but then under the device pairing in bluetooth sys prefs it lists obex, BT imaging profile, headset voiice gateway, and handsfree voice gateway. I have successfully connected and sent/pulled files from it. Can anyone help me isync via Bluetooth???? thanks, brian ps the knowledge on this site is always astounding...thanks |

Apple states that the k1m is supported by iSync. Does it sync flawlessly with 10.4.9? Any info would be great.

I've tried a few little things, changing "K1mVerizon" to Bell, or just K1m, but I really know nothing when it comes to this sort of coding business.... my details : iMac Core 2 Duo, 2.16 gHz, 1GB ram, OS X 10.4.10. We don't even get iPhone commercials up here yet, so for now about the best we can do for phones is Motorola devices. And, I just payed a h311! of a lot of money for the cute little red thing. It seems to be specific to the software verizon puts on the phone. Talking to Apple people at our local genius bar, they get a lot of complaints about Verizon phones with iSync.
I get around the problem by always using the "reset device" to overwrite my phone instead of merging data (also had to lie to iSync about what time zone I am in). I get my calendar and address book (but speed dials are destroyed with each sync, and if I put numbers/appts directly into the phone, they are gone with the next sync). Not exactly what I'd call flawless (though I'd have to guess that you'll probably run into similar problems with many of the verizon phones - similar software on them all). Dave |
I get a msg on my KRZR when I click sync "network dail-up" the I must choose on the soft keys "grant" or "deny" . What exactly is this ? Can this and should this be changed ? |

Another thing is the bluetooth seems to time-out on the phone unless it detects I think, something more active that file transfers. Active exchange, as with a conversation through an earpiece, will keep the bluetooth connection open, but while syncing files, it will time out and disconnect, creating the error message encountered by so many. Can anyone think of a way to keep the bluetooth from shutting down? that may be the final piece of the puzzle for ical KRZR bluetooth syncing. Unless Verizon would just cooperate. Or, unless i feel like subscribing to a 6.95 a month get it now app.
