If I update my Rom on my vx6700?

Will it just be updated and ready to work and roll after it finishes? Or do I have to call Verizon to reactivate it? I 'm asking about the update from UTstarcom's site BUT does this go for the same for the ROMs that give you all of the unlocked features(ones not from Utstarcom)? Am I correct to assume this will wipe out the phone ? Will activesync save all of my contacts and info or the memory card? I don't want to mess up my phone, it's too new and as we all know kinda expensive.

Rom upgrades whip out all data in main memory just like a hard reset, they don't touch data on the SD card.

You will need to re load all apps and resync all data after updating.
