Hello. This is my first time posting so i apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong area or something.

Here are a few port settings for the im+ messaging application that i found compatible with the T-mobile USA network. I'm using the SE M600i, but i assume they would work with any phone.

-AOL uses port 110.
-MSN uses port 1863.
-Yahoo uses port 5050.

Since HowardForums has came thru for me in the past, and i had i originally came here looking for help on this issue i decided to come back and share what i ended up finding on my own.

If anyone is having any other problems with setting up a POP email account etc on their M600i using the T-mobile USA network i would be glad to try and help.

Using it on my M600i in the San Francisco bay area, California.

Both of these settings work for me:
internet2.voicestream.com
wap.voicestream.com

argh this annoying. All worked well on my p910 but not now. Since Agile crashes all the time, I'm trying IM+. It works, but I can't seem to connect to anything.

AOL and ICQ says wrong PW, MSN and Yahoo just sit there trying to connect

Hmmm.... I can't seem to connect to any of the chat clients now either!

Worked okay for a couple of weeks or so. I'll let you know if I can get mine working again. Please do the same.

I think the issue is AOL changed their connection settings again. So we prolly have to wait for an update

I also cant connect to yahoo using IM+. I can see a sign that I am online, but IM+ is not connected. I used all ports I found in FAQ at shapeservices.com but got nothing. IM+ still cant connect to yahoo.

If anybody is able to connect to IM+ on T-Mobile in NY pls provide your settings !!!!

I got a reply back from shape.. AOL DID change the connection settings and they will be getting back to me tomorrow (monday) with a new build

I can use Yahoo via WLAN, but not via tzones. So I can only assume it's tzones that's blocking it

I wrote to T-Mobile today about settings, but I am not sure I'll get something from them..

P.S I have read that someone is able to conntect with tzones on other forums...

I'm using the same but can not connnect. I have no idea what is wrong with mine. I used T-Mo Wireless Data Configurator and SE one.

Could u plz check your setting in your phone and share it ? I'd appreciate it.

Do u have settings like these ?

Use Proxy Server- checked
Proxy server address :216.155.165.050
Proxy server port : 8080

Set AIM to connect to port 110. But as I said, it may not work for you because of the new AOL settings. See post 10. I'm guessing they'll release this build public soon

Hey guys, I am a newbie and about the get a p990i. Will I be a able to surf the internet if I have T-mobile web (t-zones) and the proxy settings configured as above? Thanks.

Yes, you 'll be able. Ihave T-Zones and able to surf. Also I can check my emails from P990i.

Hey guys,

I just activated a m600i with t-mobile and im utterly frusterated. I have been to t-mobile serveral times now because the t-mobile total web plan (29.99) that i purchased will not work with my m600i. I live in the D.C metro area and cannot connet to wap.voicestream or internet2.voicestream. Does anyone know how to configure the m600i to work with t-mobile's gprs? Also, im very interested in configuring the push email if I could get an internet connection going. Thanks guys any advice is much appreciated.

yea, iv'e tried both the SE and T-mobile web configuration settings. Still no web service.
