Text message crashes my phone

hello,
i was given a siemens a50 phone for christmas and am having a problem with it now. i understand this is a predominantly american form and i dont even know if this model was released in the us but hopefully i will get some help anyway.

Whenver i try and delete this one text message that annoying fish screen comes up saying please wait and it does this for as long a syou leave it - nver deleting the message. When you press the cancel button the animated fish image locks and i have to take the battery out to turn the phone off.

Ive had people send me messages so that i can delete every message, but it still freezes and when i turn my phone on all the messages arr gone except the one that crashes the phone.

Anyone any idea how to get rid of it?

Move your SIM to another mobile and delete the SMS. That should fix it

can it be any phone? so, it wouldnt have to be made by siemes? or does it have to be the same model/make

Not sure actually, but I guess a mobile from another brand is prefered

In a situation like that is it also possible to use the cables connect your fone to your pc and view the sms and delete it if you don't have anoither mobile to put your sim into? or would that not work at all?
