N80 home networking. How to do it?

I can connect to the internet using the wlan in my house, but I can't connect to the the home network. I think I just don't really understand how it works, should my phone appear in windows network on my computer? I can enable file sharing on my phone and the connection status says i'm connected to the network, but I can't find anywhere on my compuer where it makes reference to my N80. What am i missing?

ps. I have tried doing a search for answers on this forum, but I couldn't find any. so please don't scorn me for not searching first.
