When I first used KPST which is close to what Qpst is, I couldn't figure out why it couldn't find my phone. I spent hours searching forums and websites and trying this and that. This is what worked for me on my kx18. I connected my phone with the supplied data cable to my computer. Then selected us connection to COM. Then I went into device manager and installed the driver for the com port. Once I installed the COM driver, I was able to view my phone connected to my comuter no mater the program. I was able to select the Phone that was dectected on COM X. Hope that helps out some.

To figure which port ur phone is at do this
On ur computer right click on My Computer-properties-on the Tabs look for Hardware, select that-then Device Managers-no go all the way down until u see an option that says [+]PORTS-click on the [+] sign and u'll see the name of ur device (phone) and the COM# after it

I only have "Communications Port (COM1)" under my ports, nothing else...

I found my blackberry under "Universal Serial Bus controllers" under "BlackBerry Smartphone" but there was no port number next to it...
