it lacks soo many qualities im looking for. it almost feels like a pure WAP browser and not a full html browser =(

Hm.. use Opera instead? I've never really liked the SE browers.

The SE browser on the 990 *is* Opera.

yea, it is opera, im using opera mini on my p990, pretty sad lol. but i really hate the built in opera browser, its not a true full html browser imo

I picked up my P990 yesterday. So far, I don't have any problems with the browser, as it displays Chinese.. good enough for me. On the other hand, I still have the Opera Mini because it loads a lot faster.

This discussion is a bit strange. The inbuild browser is a full html browser. A very capable one. You guys are talking pure bull.

lol please, the sites render ugly as hell and blah blah. i just got my p990 a few days ago and i think its time for a change already. i love the camera and stuff but the lack of edge is driving me insane. might go with the tytn =/

whats wrong with opera? its already the best browser out there, if you dont like it then what other browsers do u guys prefer? i personally love opera mini and i have it installed on every phone ive owned...

Seeing as you have an N80 and E61 i would thought you would know the Nokia/Safari browser is the best by a long a way. Like others on this thread and i am no fan of Opera or Opera Mini but hey everyone's entitled to their own opinion and preference as its a free world well nearly.

Hi all,
The reason i prefer and rate the Safari/Nokia browser is it loads faster it reproduces web sites really nicely and i find the mini map an incredibly easy way to navigate, it is also heavily customisable if you so wish and did i mention it is fast. But hey I'm not saying every one has to like it but it is definitely my preference.

Safaria can be good, but saying Opera on P990 is trash is too much...its more than decent, and remember that its not updated (there´s a new version of opera symbian browser)...it will only be updated with the next firmware release

Hi Ares,
Trust me we all get you love your P990 and won't hear a bad word said about it, I never said Opera was rubbish i only stated what i prefer and when asked why i explained it. Just waiting to try Opera mini 3.0 beta but i am just not impressed with it so far but this is only my preference i never said there was anything wrong with it. Chill Ares it's only a phone and really not that serious.
