Hello, I currently own the motorola razr v3c and due to its constant glitching and messups am wanting to buy a new phone, I'm curious as to whether or not I could remove the sim card from the v3c and put it into the Kyocera KX5 and have it work on the same network. Both phones are Alltel and according to Altell's website the technology in the Razr is CDMA 800/1900 and the Kyocera says it's CDMA 800/1900 and Analog 800. Will this little idea of mine work? thanks for any and all advice.

....You realize that CDMA doesn't use a SIM card, right? Only GSM does.

yeah, I reallized it like right after I posted. . . oh well. Talked to the guys at alltel and they said they'd activate the phone for me, now the only problem is finding an Alltel store that has the phone I want. . . Anyone have an opinion on whether my choice to switch from the Razr to the KX5 is a wise or foolish one? still kind of unsure, but this RAZR MUST GO!

KX5 looks/feels much cheaper than the Razr, but other than that is basically the same.

However, your Razr should still be under warranty. You're entitled to a refurb or replacement.

Yea the only way to switch your phone number is to activate the new phone.
