Change Language on Unlocked W810i

I bought an unlocked/unbranded W810i off of eBay about 2 months ago. It's worked great for me except that the version I got has the French/Arabic language pack on it, and I'd like to switch to the Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) language pack. I tried to do a search, and I understand I can use Da Vinci or Wotan to unlock, unbrand, and change the language. I was just wondering if I can do it without having to pay for the credits since my phone is already unlocked/unbranded.

Okay, sounds good. Are there any major differences between using DaVinci or Wotan? I saw that DaVinci needs to make sure that the phone's certificate is "Red". And you can't reset it from "Red" to "Brown" if it's a CID49 phone, which the W810i is. Is there any way to determine this first or can I assume that since my phone was already unlocked/unbranded that I won't need to do that.

Also, are these firmware/region changes that Wotan and DaVinci offer, the same exact firmware that Sony Ericsson uses? Or are they "tweaked"? I'm just curious if by using them, that they could possibly mess up the functionality of the phone.

they are the same thing. if you are scared that your phone is brown then use da vinci. if not then use wotanserver which is easier i think

Okay, I'll give it a shot tonight. Thanks for all your help! Random question, you don't have a relative in MD (USA) called Nguyen, do you?
