my v635 just shut off randomly today and now it won't turn on. I didn't flash my phone or anything and i know its not the battery because i put it into a different phone and it works fine. When i press the power button, the keypad just lights up and sometimes the hellomoto screen comes up but freezes. Can anybody help me with this problem ?

Hi, Have u taken out battery and reinserted it, is battery charging when u plug phone in. Do you know about flashing phone, what flash/firmware was on it. Do you know any detailed info, so we can progress

Have you dropped it or anything? I would agree details are in order.

Its possible that the ribbon cable for the screen is loose and making the screen go out. What about the external screen (they may or may not be on the same cable, idk).

But worse case scenario you just have to flash it with a modified USB cable. I think you have to short 2 pins together which will FORCE it to boot up in flash mode so that you can successfully flash it from a PC.

Regardless it looks like you'll need a cable and maybe even a T5 screwdriver to take the phone apart and check it out.

If you don't feel comfortable doing any of these things then just stop the thread and go look for a local phone tech.

Sounds to me like a hardware failure. If you were/had charged it, a power spike may have fried something. Had that happen to other devices at home before. Or again hardware failed which happens. Make sure the battery is ok, and connecting ok.

Take out battery and reinsert it. Put it on charge if charge is really low it wont turn on. If still not coming on then sometimes the flash starts to fail and it will go into bootloader, see if it will connect to pc and if so reflash it with mp or backup.

Was this directed to my a630? Battery is ok. I tested it on another a630,
