Rokr message centre/center bad menus

I bought an unlocked Rokr, use it on cingular, and it's great, exept the message center (or centre, as it's listed) has crappy menus- I can't find the message inbox unless it pops up just as a message comes in (I don't use the phone for email- just SMS). I tried to look for a problem in mama_ucp P2KmenuEditor, but there are no submenus in messages. I shudder to think that I might have to master reset or worse, put on a Cingular Flex.
Any ideas?
