Hello!
I need a new phone to replace my wife's Motorola V635, and am trying to find her something stylish but not too fancy, as she doesn't really need too many features.

Below are the specs needed (in order of importance):

Cingular GSM Compatible (no MHz preference)
Flip-phone (the slimmer the better!)
Bright LCD Screen
Bluetooth
Speaker Phone
Camera

Please no RAZRs or SLVRs as they are totally wasted IMO.

Thanks!!!!

My friend from work has Cingular and just got the LG CU500 a slim speakerphone/camera/bluetooth.. I haven't seen it yet but will today at work but it got good reviews.. I just can't comment on the LCD screen until I see the phone..

Yeah the KRZR is out for GSM but it's a little too expensive. Also we don't really need the whole MP3 player function, which is mainly why the phone is so expensive. If it wasn't for the high price tag, it would be a very nice option.

Thanks anyway though!

Thanks for pointing out that phone. I looked it up online and it looks great and has the exact features we need, nothing more, nothing less.

There's only one problem. I can't find anyone that sells the phone unlocked. I tried eBay, and all the CU500s on sale are branded for Cingular and locked for use with their sims. Unfortunately, although I am with Cingular, I am Cingular Blue (former AT&T) and still have an AT&T sim card, so I'm not sure if the phone will work with that kind of sim card...

Any info would be great.

Thanks!!!

Sorry I don't anything about Cingular and Sim Cards.. But my co worker loves his phone.. It's full duplex speaker phone too.. When you buy a Cingular phone does it not come with a sim card? Or do only brand new customers get the sim card? I don't know how all that works since I am with Sprint.. I did stick my 64 micro card in his phone and my songs played. He liked that!! I hope you get this phone cause if I had Cinglar I would want that phone also it's nice.. And it has high speed internet like my new Sanyo 8400 does.. Good Luck!! Rose
