I was wondering... Since some people have mpt why cant they just download the software onto howardforums? Then every1 will thank them.. And half the people here have usb wire they just need the other 1... But we can get the other 1 from maybe a store or from online for pretty cheap.. So think about it guys..

Other brands may allow you to download their software for free. Motorola requires you to pay for Motorola Phone Tools, therefore it's illegal to distribute.

Besides, I just bought MPT 3.xxx with a cable for around seven bucks shipped off of eBay (user ID accuniverse). You can update that version to the current version for free -- it takes a while, and a few reboots, but it's totally straightforward.
