I just got my RAZR V3i and the SanDisk 2GB microSD card that I had bought to use with it. I didn't see any reason before why it should be incompatible, but from reading some of the threads on these forums, that seems to be the case. Some of you said you got it to work somehow with less than 1GB partitions on it, which I thought would be a good temporary solution until I either decide to give up on this card and sell it to buy a smaller one or Motorola releases a new firmware to make the 2GB card work as it's supposed to. But when I tried to make a partition, it still wouldn't work. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to at least make that work? Do you think Motorola will release a new firmware anytime soon?

Moto guys correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't he just update the firmware on his phone? Do you have the American version of the phone or is it international?

Motorola won't upgrade it. If they would they would have done it by now. They already have it working for their newer phones so it's not because they can't do it it's because they want you to buy the newest model.

And why do you need 2gb for a v3i it can hold only 100 songs because of the itunes cap so a 512mb card would work great.

lol.. did you ever hear about itunes 1000 .... do a search, My v3i has 430 songs on it right now that i pay through itunes.l

I'm actually curious for a follow-up on this. I was thinking about picking up a V3i for a backup phone, but I'm sure not going to if I can't use a 2GB microSD card in there.

What exactly does one need to do to a V3i so that it recognizes and lets you use a 2GB microSD card?

Please post a link to the thread you speak of. i did a search and came up with nothing. any threds i did find says it cannot be done. I believe that if someone did find a crack to install more than the 50 or 100 songs on the v3i iTunes phone using iTunes...it would be a really hot topic

The v3i only supports up to 1gb TF card for now.

Can someone email me at copgib@earthlink.net the proper proceedure for making a message for my answering service on the Motorolla V3i when I can not answer the phone. This way I will be able to check my messages at a later time. Thanks Hugh Copgib

Can you show a screenshot of your V3i showing 430/1000 in iTunes? You're the only person to ever claim to havde 1000 song crack working on V3i.

BTW, the previous Vassio iTunes 1000 crack only works on SLVR, E1 and e398 flashed to E1. Not the V3i.

I have the same problem, have a TF 2GB SanDisk and it me does not work in my V3i itunes. There is some firmware who supports it??
