This just in!!!!

The final numbers are in. There were 14,321 people, 2,016 dogs, 1,115 cats and a variety of house plants that were injured in the recent natural disaster.

These injuries took place in a straight line, from northern Mexico, running south to north, (straight through Arkansas!!) all the way up to the Canadian border, where thankfully it died out several miles short of Dave's house. This lead to the loss of houses, nasal hairs, outer clothing and several skunks.

There were several auto accidents and many, many hospital admissions due to this disaster. The source is still unknown although there has been speculation that the WMD were found in the epi-center of the disturbance and thought to be solely responsible for starting this disaster. It is still unclear as to whether it was a terroristic attack or a natural disaster?

Number one, I went CDMA. That's a stopper right there. Secondly, I have burned out at it. After awhile you get tired of spending money on sideways purchases. In all honesty, every time I think of buying something new, I look at my 6700 and realize that there are few new devices that hold anything over the 6700.....EVDO has 1000kbps download speeds. I don't need, or even want internal GPS. I have two BT GPS receivers. I don't need more memory. It has a this slot in the top where I can put a storage card of my choice in it.

The processor is still in use in brand new devices. There's nothing new on any of the new devices that warrants replacing it...other than the Athena, but to be honest I don't really see that as a phone.

Neo, I've bought dozens of PPCs. I've had a few given to me, and have done many, many reviews, so it's not that difficult for me to sit back through what I have seen as a very boring time in the platform's evolution. Almost every device that has come out in the past two years has been a clone of the Wizard/Apache, or Treo like.......yawn.

Dave, this really isn't "off topic" but I have a question about CDMA EVDO.
A friend of mine wants to get a data plan and tether his laptop to his CDMA phone which has EVDO. He was under the impression this would be significantly faster than dialup and he could avoid buying high speed internet. I warned him he was probably going to be disappointed. Can you comment on this as I know nothing about CDMA and EVDO? Thanks

Question for anyone...since getting my TyTn from PINHEAD, I was SUPPOSED to get the carrying case (amongst other things) but never got it, would anyone willing to sell my their OEM carrying case? I REALLY need one, and I've e-mailed him countless times about it without response (I've since given up, and VERY disappointed in my buy).

Hmmm...he hasn't posted in awhile either. Perhaps there is something else going on. That's the one thing about online communities like this, life can happen to folks and they drop out for a period of time, and no one has a clue. I hope he's ok.

I have a spare case or two that should be similar to the TyTN's. You can have one if you like.

I know, I'm anal!

He told me he would send me the case, a 1gig memory card (since I sent him a 2gig), a BUNCH of programs, an extra battery, an extra charger; the back cover is a different color (off-gray), the battery doesn't seem to be OEM, etc...I just feel I REALLY got the raw end of the deal. I've e-mailed him countless times, and he never responds, he even says he sent me an additional package with all the stuff in it right after he sent my TyTN, I STILL haven't gotten anything. Granted he DID move, but that was almost a month ago. I've seen him post plenty of times on XDA-Developers since then. The last time he e-mailed me was at the beginning of March. Don't get me wrong, I love the TyTN, but for what I sent him (my Treo 750, but PLENTY of extras, and then he sold the 750 a few days later saying he didn't like it, had all kinds of problems, none of which I had a single one of, WTF?!?!), I got shafted in the end. Neo trusts him, so I dunno. Shaddy if you ask me...

The new job is going great so far. Company seems REALLY good, granted I'm only doing training right now, but I should be on the phones here next week

The company is like Vonage, they sell VoIP service, but I'm mainly dealing with the business side of it, as I'm Tier 2 tech support. I'm having fun, learning things, so I can already see that it's better than my other company. And yes Dave, there ARE hot chicks here!
