It's in an endless reboot cycle until the battery dies. Dopod doesn't distribute to the US, so unless I could send it to an HTC repair center, Asia is my only option.

You have been married to her for 13 years?? Wow, thats awesome dud, seriously.

I am turning 32 later this year, I have been with my girlfriend for almost 8 years and we aren't married, the fact that she is a younger then me always played a large part in not getting married, but I would like to soon.

I have tried to get her into phones. I buy her something nice and she always ends up with another RAZR, go figure....(She likes the colors....)

Whats been going on with everyone? I feel like the key players are on a hiatus or something....

Been loving this Touch Cruise. Its everything the original Touch should have been and so much more. I made a promise to myself and to my boss that this would be my only phone for the next 6 months minimum and I am down with that. I hate switching phones so often so I am glad I found one that works great.

Just wanted to make sure everyone was still well. Happy belated birthdays all around!

Man, 25. I turn 32 this year. Babies I tell ya - BABIES!

Posted by: mikewchandler

don't know about the "key players" but I've been around to check the forums once or twice a day (nothing like before) but there hasn't been much to talk about. The touch has worked well for me (which can be good but also boring)

Check THIS out my friend. Need to line up 'though. BTW, the Grado SR60s are affordable, full sized and critically acclaimed. I can sell you mine if ya want. I'll even throw in a portable amp I'm luvin' my critically-bashed Sennheiser MX550, CX500, PX100 & Bose QC3s very much (I luv bass) Cheers.

True dat: They're prolly the best team never win a world cup However, I don't think that the pundits game them much of a chance this year. I'm glad that the Dutch are winning and doing it with style! (Not quite "total football" like their previous teams, but still very entertaining).

Before the series began, I really thought that the Lakers would win, especially with the Zen master gunning for his 10th. However, you've gotta admire the scrappy Celtics. It appears that they just wanted it more. You should be happy that your team made it to the finals. Mine didn't get far at all: GS Warriors and Raptors Happy b'day dude!

yea tiger woods, with his paul pierce antics. every time the guy swung the ball he acted like he was dying. some of these athletes go to extreme measures to show their pain just so their fans can say "wow, he is playing through a major injury". IT'S FRIGGIN GOLF, COME ON!

i can't believe the Netherlands lost today, all the #1 teams from the groups have lost so far. Whoever wins out of the Italy/Spain match up is who is my favorite to win. don't want to jinx it, but i expect Spain.

Posted by: mikewchandler

I thought that about tiger till they showed the torq he was putting on his knee in "slow mo", mostly when driving the ball with a certain "cut" shot. Also, he has 2 stress fractures and an ACL that needs major surgery....golf or not, probably smarted a bit.

Russia's looked good ever since Andrei Arshavin came back to the team. What an exciting tournament!

Kobe Bryant. not more needs to be said, and if you are going to argue it then i won't bother speaking to you about sports =)

i can't even believe you mentioned Vince Carter in the same breath as MJ.

Posted by: sabesh

^^^ aw c'mon .. Kobe might come close in skills, but he's an arse. The person who likes Kobe the most is himself

Posted by: mikewchandler

Kobe does like himself a little too much.

Naw....he really is good but there hasn't been anyone close to as good as MJ. Kobe comes the closest in my opinion, though. But, that's like saying that Mickelson is close to as good as Tiger.

Posted by: PiTT

Jordan didn't love himself? come on, Kobe is this era's Jordan. there have been tons of articles and such in the past that said that NBA players didn't like him because he was also an outcast early in his career and was arrogant too.

i don't care what either of you say, and you can TRY to argue with me, but Kobe is as good as Jordan if not BETTER. yea i said it =) now flame away.

Posted by: sabesh

When Kobe wins six NBA finals MVP awards, let's talk .. Right now Kobe has none (zero, nada, zilch ) He was Robin to Shaq's Batman; and yes, Shaq has three NBA finals MVPs! And MJ? Six NBA finals MVPs! Do I need to say more?

Posted by: dominick

Kobe v. MJ = unfair match-up.

MJ had GREAT support in Pippen, Rodman, Paxon, and all the other guys I forgot. If you're in a great team, your game just becomes effortless and you are allowed a bit more freedom to be creative. Kobe is an exceptional player, don't get me wrong, but there's too much pressure on him to do everything.

If he hadn't been such a baby when Shaq-fu was around, I believe he could have matched MJ, maybe even eclipsed him. That was a great team. Emphasis on TEAM.

Posted by: mikewchandler

It's hard to compare them. I just remember MJ taking games over and "willing" his team to win, similar to Tiger. Kobe is the best current player most likely but MJ is likely one of the best of all time.....my $0.02.

Yeaa, if Jordan from the Early 90's had Paul Pierce guarding him, Jordan would have ate him for breakfast. Kobe will NEVER be as good as Jordan. Kobe had SHAQ as his center for his three rings. Jordan had Bill Cartwright, Bill Wellington and Luc Longley. Enough said.

I hope Russia wins. I luv their attacking style of play especially after the return of Arshavin. But Spain does look tough especially with Casillas outplaying goalie-of-the year Buffon. Spain also has the psychological edge of having beaten Russia 4-1 in the group stage (Russia were without Arshavin though).

tell you what, you can end this argument right now. name me Jordan's competition in the years he was in this league, and name me Kobe's. and please don't say Magic and Bird, they were at the end of their careers when Jordan was just starting his.

Just compare the competition, Jordan's competition was a joke. Kobe's competition is probably the best the league has ever seen.

there really is no comparison to be honest. don't look at statistics, even Phil and Tex Winters who coaches both guys say that Kobe is more talented. he is probably the best 1 on 1 player the world has ever seen.

If you want to look at stats, by the time Lebron's career is over, he'll make Kobe and MJ look like kids on a playground. guy is only like 23, and he is probably the most physically perfect basketball player ever.

and about the Euro cup, at this point, it's just exciting. every time is a underdog.

PS. im a basketball junkie, i follow basketball of all sorts (pro, college, rec ball, etc.). i've seen it all, as great as i think MJ was, Kobe is just as good. kobe in his prime or jordan in his prime? give Lebron MJ or Kobes killer instinct, and that's who i choose as my cornerstone player =)

Posted by: mikewchandler

MJ played against some of the best "teams". Today's players are more about "individual" stuff, IMHO.

The pistons (Isaiah Thomas, etc...), lakers and celtics (Magic and Larry), the spurs (Robinson), the jazz....all a bunch of pansies.

larry and magic were done. and please don't tell me the Spurs of that era were really good. i still don't understand why people can't give kobe his due. if he isn't the best player ever, he is certainly the second best player ever.

Let's see

1991- Went through Isiah, Dumars, Laimbeer, Magic, Worthy. (3 HOF)

1992- Went through Oakley, Ewing, Price, Daughtery, Drezler, C. robinson, Kearse and Buck Williams (2 HOF in that list)

1993- Knicks again, Barkley, Marejle, Kevin Johnson,

1996- Shaq, Penny, Dennis Scott, Nick Anderson (they went to the finals the year b4 and got swepted) Kemp and Payton (4 potential HOF)

1997- Knicks (again), Jazz- Malone, Stockton, Flu game (best performance EVER!)

look how many HOF played in Jordan's years in the NBA

Ewing, Olajuwan, Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Magic, Bird, Worthy, Mchale, Parrish, Mullin, Shaq, Drexler, Isiah, Dumars, Payton, Kemp (b4 he turned fat), Nique.

Take all of this competiton and he still won 6 rings with Pippen and a revolving Cast.

2 olympic golds. You ever heard the tales of Jordan taking charge of HOF's @ the 92 Olympics??

Bryant will never equal Jordan's Accomplishments

As far as Lebron is concerned, he hasn't improved his game in 3 years. He's gotten stronger and faster so it's easier for him to score, but he hasn't improved his game or added to his arsenal in 3 years. I need to see improvement in him b4 I can say he WILL surpass Jordan

btw- Jordan is 6-0 in the finals, Kobe is 3-2.

I need to see improvement in him b4 I can say he WILL surpass Jordan

btw- Jordan is 6-0 in the finals, Kobe is 3-2.

everything you're giving me is stats from the late 80's to early 90's. wait until Kobe is done with his career and then you can compare stats. BTW, Pippen is top 10 to ever play this game, he wasn't no slouch

as for lebron, when he improves his jump shot and decides to play D, it's over.

Casillas' save on Camerusimo was insane!!

I honestly Russia will come out firing but Fernando Torres has alot to prove b/c I disagreed with Aragones pulling him for Guiza who had the perfect opportunity to win the game in the 2nd half and he promptly gets called for a hand ball that was inexpicable.

his mid range jumper is HORRIBLE! it's abysmal...plus he's a bad 3 point shooter @ 27% this past season. Kobe doesn't have enough of the killer instinct. He should have been averaging 35 a game like Jordan would have done....and yet they got destroyed in game 6. Jordan would never allow that to happen.

Uh oh .. this is an entirely new argument. The best basketball player ever? I don't think fans of Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Adbul-Jabar and Oscar Robertson will agree. In fact, the best BB player may even have been Earl Manigault ("the goat"), who never played in the NBA!

I remember this. Man, this was the year MJ and Bulls got over the Pistons hump! Isiah was a suck and didn't wanna shake hands @ the end of the series. I even remember Isiah rounding up his pals to deny MJ of the ball in MJ's first all-star game. This was the year where MJ did the right-to-left hand layup against the Lakers in the finals!

Welcome back JwY. Like Sabesh, I think most of us are waiting...watching and waiting. Not a big shocker, but I'm holding out for the teeny tiny Diamond.

I'm also waiting to see what apps come out. Until then, it just won't be all that useful for me.

Thanks.
It's been a few months of waiting for the next generation of devices to come out. I'm considering the Diamond as well or if that doesn't work out, then the Touch Pro.

looks like we have the same taste in shoes. i have 3 pairs of Saucony black classics and 1 in blue =)

i have 2 pairs of the reebok classics too.

edit: don't ask why i have so many pairs of the same shoes, i just do and i love them =)

funny fact: when i was younger, i interviewed with a company for a IT job, one of the questions was, "how many pairs of shoes do you own and what kind". i really told him i have like 4 or 5 pairs of the same shoe and all 3 of them looked at me like i was the weirdest person alive.

funny fact #2: one of the other questions on the interview, "if you could be one kind of tree, what kind and why?". weirdest question ever.

My best one ever: "If you stacked quarters on end, approximately how many would it take to reach the top of the Empire State Building?"...ummm...is this gonna be part of the job or...?

For some strange reason I want a N82 right now (probably because of the camera). The HP 910c also looks tempting. But so do the E71, Touch Pro, and X1. I hate waiting! I don't know how much longer I can last.

I have really lost all interest in phones. I don't know why. I basically sold them all and picked up the LG VU from AT&T, which cost me next to nada because I re-upped my contact.

I can't (or haven't tried) to install any 3rd party software, its locked and its pretty generic, but I am happy with it. Its works - doesn't crash, freeze or piss me off, but again - its not on the same tier as any other phone in this forum.

The ONLY thing I dislike is that it doesn't support my 6GB MicroSD card, so I have to dig up a 2GB card and think about the music I want to cut back.

The screen is very nice, it is quicker then I though and the keyboard is great, best virtual keyboard I have ever used, on pay with the iPhone - IN MY OPINION (I also haven't used the iPhone's keyboard all that much).

The one thing I like is the TV. There is no such thing as buffering, it runs as smoothly as any TV you would normally turn on, even on EDGE. I was pleasantly surprised.

I don't know if its because I work in the field or what, and I don't know if its temporary, but we shall see. I still like to play with the phones, I just don't bring any home. Its like going to the pet store, hanging out with a dog or cat and going home without one.

I took a trip from Toronto out to Florida, drove through all the states - alternator crapped out while in West Virginia. Roaming call placed to a local tow truck...$286!

treo's are lighter than tilt's, and thus more shorts friendly...

CAA will forward you to AAA who will forward you to a local AAA office who will forward you to an AAA-certified towing company.

CAA will cover the towing costs.

The E71 is a really nice phone. I am picking one up if I don't grab the BB 9000 instead. The E71 is a fraction of the size though which makes it that more appealing.

I am beginning to miss phones again which is good, but this TV feature on the LG VU is amazing, better then slingbox in my opinion and I dont want to give it up.

I'm still on the fence because of other devices coming out soon. Are you really enjoying yours so far? Would you say it's a keeper?

Does anyone else keep clicking on the WM Smartphone forum by accident? I'm too used to clicking where it is and since they moved the two around, I keep clicking the other one.

Ya, I wonder if it'll ever be like that again. Even when WinMo 7 gets released it'll probably get leaked on XDA first for the Kaiser or something... Don't see a WinMo devi
