Overclocking 8125 with XCPUScalar 2007 v3.00

Hello all,

I'm looking to get user opinions of XCPUScalar 2007 v3.00.

I have a Cingular 8125, and just started using the the lastest version of XCPUScalar. I had been thinking about overclocking my 8125 for the longest time, and my first try is with XCPUScalar.

With XCPUScalar installed and my clock speed set to 260 or 247 my 8125 intermittently resets itself after waking up from being suspended. I'm looking at this more closely now, and am trying to see what conditions cause this (i.e. a running program during suspension, a specific program causing resest, etc...) I'm slowing working the clock speed down to see what the fastest speed is while still being stable with no intermittent resets.

Are there any other XCPUScaler users out there with opinions and experiences?

The developer of XCPUScalar has a pretty good discussion about their latest version going on in their forum. The developer seems very receptive and helpful in the forum. However, the discussion includes other devices, as well as other issues like registration and upgrade problems. I thought I'd start a thread here to specifically discuss XCPUScalar and Cingular devices.

Anyways, the developers discussion is here:

Wirelessly posted (whatever the next lines says: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320) Opera 8.60 [en])

try omap plus you can safley overclock it to 240. but i have mine set it 252 and runs great. this app lets you run it on a soft set, by itself

I'll look into omap plus, but I've kind of gotten used to some of the features and indicators in XCPUScalar. I really like that it can display the CPU clock speed and load percentage in the title bar. This way I can see how fast and hard the CPU is working while in any program.

I'm wondering if I can use omap plus to overclock my 8125, but still use XCPUScalar to display the CPU indicator in the title bar.
Would there be a problem if I had both programs installed and running?
