Hey, was looking around the mods in this sections for the 8390 and was wondering:
-if converting my 8390 into a 7210 or the one with the sliding/flip faceplates are easy?
-are OEM faceplates better than factory?
-Where to get the good deals on mods in Toronto.
-how ringtone and electronical mods(backgrounds) work.

THANKS!!

ok let's see if i can help you on this...

- some faceplate (non OEM, all aftermarket) are easy to find on vending sites or ebay. Never heard of anyone having trouble putting them on, however I heard people complain about the keypad layout and how it was difficult to press buttons, notably the 7,9,*,+ since they are the ones that differ the most.
- not sure what u mean by factory, did u mean to say difference between aftermarket and OEM (the ones coming from the manufacturer, hence the factory)?
- Can't help u with that...
-Ringtones....lots of websites out there where u can get them free or pay for them. they will be sent to you by SMS. or u can get IR cable or serial cable and upload them to your phone. for eletronical (background mods), i suppose u mean lightings, you need to get LED's of different colours. There are places that you can send your phone to, like nokialight.com or you can go stores where they do conversions and solder more LED's or change them.

Hope i was helpful and people, feel free to add any ideas...

Whoops, it was suppose to be "Are OEM better than after market faceplates?"

and I was wondering if it would be expensive and complicated to convert my 8390 to this:
