I wanted to know is it possible to use your own Mp3 or QCP files and set them as a ringtone?

Also what is wallpaper size for the front display (Folded open with keyboard)

- i used an mp3 and used a converter to make it work with bitpim.. so yes
- walpaper for the inside is 320x230

Anyone have step by step instructions for creating your own ringtones for the LG VX9800 :-)

I have found a few, relating to other LG phones, and not sure if it will apply to the 9800, but plan to try and use them.

instructions for making mp3 ringtones from your songs, are the same for all LG phones on the verizon network

as where to put them that can vary from phone to phone

on the 9800 ( i think ) they go in brew/16542/lk/mr

same place as the 9900

If you just get a data cable and use the bitpim.org software plusa cable from the www.rpiwireless.com site it will do it all for you. if you use this code 1xkdie3d it should get you free shipping and 20% off of the site. I used it a month ago and it worked...
