V3c Contacts Broken

I am having trouble with the contacts feature on my V3c (Bell)--if I chose to create a contact or edit an existing one, it just quits. (Back to the menu or main screen, wherever I opened the contacts list form)
MPT has no trouble editing the contacts list, and I can call and message using it just fine.
I have tried to limit my modifications, for example I have not messed with the setup menu. I did enabled BT DUN, changed some Java security settings, and used ##BROWSER to set proxies.
What could be the problem?
