Flexing Problem with V3x?

Ok, here's the story.

I just got a V3x, and being that it's my first Moto that I can fool around with, I wanted to use the latest MP and put that onto my phone. So, I followed all the instructions in the PDF file (which was amazing by the way), but when I actually tried it, I kept on getting this error on the phone:

Critical Error
03

...and RSD 2.7 would tell me "Error erasing subscriber unit". I also tried RSD 1.6 but that gave me the same error. I tried different USB ports but that didn't work. I tried another computer and I still got that same error. I even tried different MPs but that didn't work.

Is there any way to get around the error?

Anyone have any suggestions? If I can't get this to work, this phone is going back home .

Either all the drivers were not installed or maybe you have the funny acting firmwares... Look to see which s/w and flex you have....Look at the files at Steves site and you can find out if yours is the one...He has all the latest files on hand....

I have the following:

S/W: R252211LD_U_85.92.70R
Flex: USRAZRV3XNRDRXXR25221035

I looked at that site before - that's where I got the MPs. I was going to apply either the last MP listed (the one with the smilie face) or the one above it. I couldn't find mine on it.

I have the drivers installed...had to install them whenever I switched USB ports.

Are you using a hub...I've heard that sometimes people have had problems when they use a usb hub.

Nope; I tried 5 different USB ports on my computer that were directly on the motherboard or on a PCI card, and they all lead to the same error on the phone .

Sounds like you will have to do a test point to bypass the protection... I just had to do the same thing to a rokr...
