MPT looks and behaves the same regardless of whether my KRZR is defined as a v3cm, a v3mm, or a k1mm. Multimedia Studio is available. Transfer of pics and videos between phone and PC is fine. Only the ringtone transfer doesn't work. Ringtones go to the audio folder. If they're suffixed with .MID, they show in My Sounds on the phone. I can move the MID between the TF card and the phone's memory, but it never shows as an available ringtone. When suffixed with .MP3, they show nowhere on the phone. |

I'm pretty sure it detected after. Anyway, I tried both auto-detecting and manual detecting again. I even tried the v3cm instead of the k1m. Neither changed anything. So I figure I didn't do the seems right. But 2742/6a/0 does seem to be set to 1. And the phone ID is k1mM (looks like unicode). Is that right? The two m's, with the last one capitalized? All the other seems have worked no problem. And the ringtones was the thing that got me started down this path. ![]() Thanks, Jim |

IF you use Melody Studio feature of MultiMedia Studio, it re-encodes as 32kbit/22khz/mono. If you use File Transfer Studio, they get transfered untouched. I have NOT seen a CDMA moto that allows files stored on the MicroSD card to be used as RingTones. I.e. they have to be in the phone's memory. In most cases the amount of time the phone rings is dependant on the wireless carrier.. not how long the ringtone file is on your phone... i.e. even if you use a 4min song as a ring tone, Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile will send the call to voice mail after about 25 to 30 seconds. If you have Verizon, you seem edit your phone and use MPT, or you use P2kCommander. |

I am able to transfer *.mp3 to phone by using the MPT multimedia studio, but the phone isn't able to show the uploaded ringtone in the list. It only showed the default ringtones. I tried both file transfer and melody, and also many different ringtones. What is the problem? PS: pictures works fine, just ringtone, I am trying to transfer to phone, not card |

so has there been any update to getting ringtones on the k1m via MPT? as has been said many times before, using MPT just makes the files go into the Audio folder- and they don't show up on any lists. I can use p2k, and it works. But, for my parents, it's not exactly an easy process in comparison to just using MPT and copying the files to the phone. I've tried setting the phone as all variations of v3x and k1x, but to no success. has anybody been successful in using MPT to add ringtones to the KRZR?!?! |
