Maybe this will help others. For whatever reason, when my phone is plugged into my computer with the data cable, I cannot use it to get into media net. (I Don't mean using the cable to teather just to charge it) I also cannot use internet explorer, unless I change the internet explorer connections setting from "wap" to "internet" and then I can use IE - but never media net.
I have replicated this several times, at first not realizing what was happening and wondering why all of a sudden I could not get to the internet.
After seeing some posts about trouble getting on the internet that got the same message I was getting - that "the connection was terminated by the remote party" I am wondering if they had the data cable connected to their computer also.
